4.  TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION

Considerable effort was devoted by the team to "technology assessment" of various building components and passive and active solar systems, and by supplying the guidelines of EC Demostration Projects in the building sector

Among the activities, the following are the most relevant for the profile of the individuals as "technology innovators":

  • Winner of the 1990 "Italian Better Environment Awards for Industry - sector: Energy Conservation and Recovery": national selection of candidates for the European competition.

  • Project Coordination of the UPSE Demostration Project n. SE/228/81 on "Solar and low energy building design : 517 dwellings in the Turin area".

  • Project Coordination of the Milan Social Housing Association - Demonstration Project n. EE/165/81 on "Energy Conservation and Building Maintenance"

  • European Coordinator of RESTART Project: Renewable Energiy Strategies and Technology Applications for Regenerating Towns - Turin, Barcelona, Glasgow, Grand Lyon, Rotterdam, Porto, Dublin, Copenhagen - EC, DG XVII, Integrated Quality Targeted Project BU/1027/96/IT/ESGB
